Originally founded in 1979, Granite House is a Carroll County based, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, whose mission is to assist community members with mental illness to live successful, satisfying and productive lives. We are an affiliate of the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Foundation, a not-for-profit behavioral health system dedicated to the improvement of mental health in the community by meeting the needs of individuals, families and organizations.

Our clinical staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses and licensed counselors. Our rehabilitation and housing staff work in teams, headed by experienced certified psychiatric practitioners or by a mental health professional.

We receive our funding through client fees, private insurance, grants, Medical Assistance and private fundraising, and our clinic, rehabilitation and residential rehabilitation programs are licensed by the State of Maryland.
